This pistol, serial #14 was sold to Texas Ranger Bob Favor, was #14 for time served within the DPS. The serial numbers of these correspond to the Ranger's seniority within the force at the time. Less than 40 were actually purchased by Texas Rangers. Beretta obtained permission from the Texas Department of Public Safety (Texas Rangers) to produce 100 special commemorative pistols offered only to active serving Rangers.
